On Saturday 17th of July 2021 Hon. Tong Akeen Ngor Governor of NBGS Aweil attended the 10 the independence anniversary celebration organized by the 3rd infantry Division (Lion Division) at WunyƬk military headquarters.
The occasion was Also attended by South Sudan chief of Defence forces General Santino Deng Wol and the minister of land and public utilities Hon. Aguer Wol Aguer. and commissioner of Aweil East County. Hon Kiir Yor Lual. 3rd infantry Division commander Maj General PSC Baak Akoon Baak and other high ranking military commanders. In the occasion. Chief of Defence forces General Santino Deng Wol saluted the fallen heroes and heroines for giving people of South Sudan independence.
Meanwhile, the chief applauded the patriotic sons and daughters who played great role during the struggle for the independence of South Sudan on top of them president of the republic of South Sudan and commander in chief of all the regular forces H: E. General Salva Kiir Mayardit for taking South Sudan to be an independent country.
In addition, General Santino Deng Wol urged the army to support the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement in the country, furthermore. He directed the 3rd infantry Division forces and particularly SSPDF in General to execute their duties in good spirit as mandated
On his part. Hon Tong Akeen Ngor thanked and appreciate commander in chief of all the regular forces and president of the republic of South Sudan. H: General Salva Kiir Mayardit president for bring peace and Stability to people of South Sudan. Additionally, the Governor praised and congratulate the 3rd Division officers Ncos and people of Wunyiik for celebrating this important and historical anniversary of our independence moreover. He laughed all the Security forces across north bahr El Ghazal State for providing maximum security to the citizens. Furthermore. Governor urged the 3rd infantry lion Division forces to continue protecting the borders of South Sudan as mandated by the constitution. Meanwhile, he encouraged them to maintain their peaceful relationships with the civilians in the state...in his final remarks. Hon Tong Akeen Ngor once again gave directive to all the schools operating in NBGS-Aweil through the state ministry of general education to register free of charge as the state government will be fully responsible for their school requirements.
