Heyo! Most of u may have already known about Squidward's classification—he's an octopus, specifically a Giant Pacific Octopus. He may not be called Octoward (or even Christopus), but some peeps still confuse him with a squid, perhaps many have also appeared in the series. But really, he is?
From the title itself, I compiled all the scenes where a character from the show referred to or mentioned Squidward as an octopus. I also checked from the two spin-offs (Kamp Koral and The Patrick Star Show) as well as the existing SpongeBob shorts if there were also mentions about his being, which there weren't, actually.
