I Had A Dream That I Died

An experimental short film documenting the day Daniel received a call from Laurie Allen in the summer of 2018. It had been 13 years since he’d seen her or heard her voice. Using selections from the extensive Daniel Johnston archive, “I Had A Dream That I Died” creates a sonic visual tone poem, spanning almost four decades of art and friendship. As well as the beginning of new memories ahead.
