Reparations Sunday commemorates the UN Day for the Remembrance of Enslaved People.
On August 22, faith-based and ethically oriented groups gather to commemorate freedom on the 5th #ReparationSunday.
This year, #ReparationSunday was aimed to celebrate and create ritual around freedom and accountability. The Grassroots Reparations Campaign shared materials to support organizing for reparations in communities. The ceremony will be led by author, teacher, dancer, storyteller and high priestess, Yeye Luisah Teish, Dr. David Ragland, Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb and many others.
