British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Tuesday the government was making all necessary preparations in the supply chain ahead of Christmas, as Britons continued to panic buy fuel leading to queues at some gas stations.
The panic buying has reached a level not seen since September 2000 when a similar crisis occurred. The British government insists there is not a fuel shortage, but it still isn't stopping people from taking out their purses and pouring pounds into the gas tanks.
Johnson also stressed what they're hearing from the fuel industry is that "our petrol stations are stabilizing.
