This video is dedicated to the Courtesans of India typically known as Tawaifs.
It's generally thought that Tawaifs are prostitutes which is certainly a fallacy. Tawaifs were artists just like us. Associating the word 'prostitute' with their name took away their honor and art from them.
The main motive of this video is to encourage demystify some of the myths. It's a delicate issue indeed. But I have tried my best to do justice with the Great Artists of India and have no intention to hurt the sentiments of people of any community.
