Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says it is likely the voluntary euthanasia bill “will get through” as the Palaszczuk government is set to debate the bill this week.
The bill will be a conscience vote for every state MP, meaning you can “vote whichever way you want”, according to Mr Gleeson.
"There is a very strong push for certain amendments to make it a lot more stringent, to make the moral and ethical checks a lot more stringent," he told Sky News Australia.
“It’ll be interesting to see whether or not those amendments get through.”
