Myself and my husband have been together for 11 years and married 7. I wish this wasn't true. My FIL (husband's step dad since he was 8) and my mil separated two years ago because he had been messaging other women, younger ones for context, like mid to late twenties. It was rough for a while but everything has been ok and relationships have been repaired. He's a great dad to my husband and an amazing grandad to our kid and our extended family (his bio family) are amazing people and we've never been treated as anything other than blood. We're all extremely close and it's a big family. That's what makes it harder.
