Installing Point Of Interest (POI) Files On A Garmin Based Sat Nav (Avtex Tourer Two)

I show you how to download and install point of interest files on my Avtex Tourer Two Satellite Navigation System, which is Garmin based.

What are POI files?

POIs are files you can upload to your Sat Nav for locating places. They are Coordinates not driving instructions, so a Sat Nav can plan a route based on roads that are safe to travel for your vehicle, and depend on correctly marked widths and heights of roads and bridges for example and use GPS to plot your current position.

Where to download POI from

Need to be a logged in member, https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/helpandadvice/travelplanning/

For Garmin files, need .bmp and .csv

For Caravan and Motorhome club members, if you have non avtex version, https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/planning-your-route/satellite-navigation-downloads/
