A masculine man doesn’t make his problem yours. He will make everything in his power to find a solution on HIS OWN and never even make it known to you so that you will not burden with it. John does it so by keeping a strong face in front of her.
However, since his whole life was all about fighting through the day, she brought a breath of fresh air and sunshine in his life.
Her feminine energy complemented his masculine energy. Indeed, she was able to soften his heart, he could even be vulnerable around her and he could tell about his fears because she could see right through him. Since the environment that they work in was hectic, they were emotionally available for each other. She validated him through his decision making and she reassured him. He finally had someone who was concerned for him and his well being and vice versa.
They showed each other interested by using proximity.
Their partnership works because honesty is important, they don’t think worse of each other, she challenges him by reminding him who he really is because in this war you can easily forget what your core values are, he helps her by making her life easier/better, he prioritizes her safety, he comforts her in time of grief and when she was temporarily gone, he took on the role of helping her mother out and made his commitment and love for her known to everyone and especially to her mother.
They had things in common and one thing that made them so alike was that they were both next in line.
He values her opinion and advice. He respects her place in this fight. A man that loves you will be scared to lose you and his actions will show you that. He doesn’t easily give up on you. He will also care about how you view him indeed John was frightened that if he lost the war she would see him less of a man and that she wouldn’t see him as the strong man that he is.
Loved witnessing Flint getting on board at some point and help John bring Madi back because he understood that he wants to build a life with her. John’s love for Madi is so strong that he wouldn’t even let his friend get in a way of him having a beautiful life with her.
The dialogues were exceptional. “She was not made to be hidden away from the world”, this simple phrase translated how well he knew her.
John and Madi are such a powerful couple. ⚓️⛵️
