Jackal Vs Seal

These jackals chase a seal on the beach, but the seal manages to get into the water before they can snatch him. He is lucky this time. Down the beach, another pup is under attack, and he’s outnumbered. One jackal bites the throat while the others attack its body. The four jackals have won, but the others try to get their share. The smell of death draws more hungry jackals and creates a feeding frenzy. Even after they make the kill, the jackals can’t eat in peace, because they’re being chased by their own, for a piece of the pie. This jackal travels in search of baby cape fur seals and comes across one. The jackal attacks the seal, and even though the seal fights back and it’s not easy for the jackal.

The scavenger still ends up killing the seal. It looks like jackals are expert killers when it comes to baby seals. Every day, the jackal goes out looking for a fresh meal when it’s available. After exhausting the stock of weak pups, he tries his hand at some more boisterous youngsters, but it’s not as simple as it looks. Seals have strong jaws, thick skin, and above all, are very light sleepers. It seems hopeless, but the hunter has a trick up his sleeve. He tries to make himself disappear and to do so, he must first get rid of his own smell and replace it with the mixture of sense from the batter which he disappears from sight and smell. This gives him the opportunity to approach seals without creating a commotion and makes the hunt a lot easier for the jackal. This jackal goes looking for baby cape fur seals and finds one. The jackal kills the seal right in front of the entire seal community, but none of the adult seals react. Once the jackal makes the kill, it carries the seal pup somewhere more discreet.

Jackal Hunting Gazelle Fawn

These two jackals are hunting and devouring a baby gazelle while its mother tries in vain to save it. You can see the mother gazelle doing everything in her power to save her baby, and I feel for her, but it’s game over. This occurred during a safari in Kenya's Masai Mara National Park. These two jackals hunt a young Thomson’s gazelle and I’m kind of surprised the gazelle doesn’t fight more. She kind of falls to the ground while the jackals tear flesh from her body. With flesh hanging from her behind, she finally wakes up and tries to fight, but it’s too late. Why didn’t the gazelle charge the jackals when she wasn’t injured. I have seen gazelles fight harder against lions and leopards. Two jackals are trying to cut open gazelles rear-end when the gazelle finds itself on the ground.

The jackals are small, but they’re tenacious and will make this a successful hunt. After taking down Thomsen’s gazelle. These two jackals have to deal with an army of vultures, just waiting to sit at the dinner table. The birds slowly invade the carcass, even though the jackals are still there. When it comes to scavengers, be it jackals, vultures, or hyenas, none of them have table manners. As a kind of defense against predators, gazelle babies spend the majority of their first weeks of life hiding in bushes. A nearby gang of jackals spotted a fawn and captured and ate it on this occasion. At this location, jackals are the primary predators of young fawns, and jackal hunts like this one are common. However, jackals frequently walk right past a fawn without even realizing it's there. The fawn was not so fortunate on this occasion.
