Camping Without Complications, Cost Or Crowds At Springdale Campground Near Colorado Springs
Camping near Colorado Springs can be a bit complicated, costly or crowded. But if you are willing to go just a bit down the way you can find amazing forest campground at a much lower premium and a lot of charm. I opted to spend almost a week at the Springdale Campground near the Rampart Reservoir and found it to be one of the best places to enjoy quiet retreat away from the crowds and the costs of state park camping. Colorado's larger cities are a bit harder for boondocking because of their newer laws so finding a paid site was a way to ensure comfort and quality without that dreaded knock.
