The idea that Chiang Kai Shek was a great christan and morally upright man is false narrative that American bible thumpers believe. This is not true. Chiang at the personal level was a horrible person.
This dude cheated on his first wife Mao Fumei (who was mother of chiang ching kuo) who was a poor rural peasant woman multiple times with different women, tormenting her feelings. Chiang even caught an STD before finally abandoning her to marry the wealthy Song mei ling. In one incident Chiang even brought soong to the village to meet Mao Fuemei and made her cry. But what goes around comes around. In 1942, soong cheated on chaing with an American dude Wendle Wilke. I dont think this is a godly life style. I dont even think confucianism approves of this.
