These Jaguars Have Been Artificially Inseminated

Researchers in Brazil say they have successfully artificially inseminated jaguars in an effort
to help protect genetic diversity in the species. After ensuring they are properly
impregnated, they will use the techniques on wild animals in other endangered areas.
Devastating wildfires have killed many jaguars. “They are being killed before we even get to
treat them, so something has to be done," Cristina Harumi Adania, veterinarian at Mata
