There's probably no OFW gift more iconic than rubber shoes. And just like many traditions, being given one begins with a ritual, with children tracing their feet on paper sending them to their loved ones abroad. I thought it fitting to commemorate this cultural staple, and give thanks to our hardworking family members abroad with this build.
Though I bought the LEGO NES Set first, this Adidas Originals was the first LEGO I built for the series. Having never made a Beat Building video for plastic bricks, I decided to use this set as a way to develop best practices in shooting and editing LEGOs, the learnings from which was applied for the LEGO NES.
I would say building the LEGO Adidas Originals first before the LEGO NES was a good warm-up. It has 700 pieces vs the NES’ 2,600. All in all, it took me around 23 hours’ worth of footage to cover the whole process, and around a week to complete the first edit.
