Vincent Chao is the first Taiwanese representative to be invited to the Munich Security Conference since 2015. In an interview with DW, he advocated for more support for Taiwan, saying "actions speak louder than words" and that "it's clear more has to be done". He also called for more international support, arguing "it is the right time for the international community to speak firmly on this issue to show China that China really can't afford to engage in a sort of military adventurism."
