Glacier National Park - Beautiful Colored Rocks - Apgar Village Lake McDonald Going To The Sun Road

One of the most amazing things I have EVER seen was the beautiful colored rocks in Glacier National Park. You can see these rainbow rocks throughout the park including Lake McDonald & Going To The Sun Road.

I explored various parts of Lake McDonald to see these unique colored pebbles. I also saw them on my hike to Avalanche Lake. You can even see some at St Mary Lake and my hike to Virginia Falls. After being in Glacier National Park for several days I was still in awe every time I saw the bright color rocks.

If you would like to see the colored stones without hiking you can park and walk to Lake McDonald at Apgar to see the stunning stones. There are several places to pull out on Going to the Sun Road between Apgar and Avalanche Campground where you can see the colored rocks.

What are some of the most amazing things your have seen in a National Park?
