Quentin Gobregts is a South African native who wasn't born into the world of wine, but instead found his way here, via a brief stop-over in corporate land! After working as an auditor for a number of years, his love of wine took him to Western Australia where he completed his second degree in viticulture and winemaking. From there the only way was up, with vintages at leading wineries in the region of Margaret River. He launched his own label Sons & Daughters in 2020 and is honing his craft and developing his style with every passing harvest.
His wines are made instinctively, sourcing great fruit from vineyards around Margaret River, and crafting them gently into gastronomic styles that are refreshing and elegant. All his wines are made without too much messing around - they are all vegan and all clean and bright. This is definitely a name to watch in future years!
This youthful Sauvignon Blanc is from a single vineyard in Karridale is water pale in the glass, but offers plenty of 'classic' grassy Sauvignon Blanc characters aromatically. Not too pungent, but definitely has that green edge. Lots of lime and cut grass, with some blackcurrant leaf. Very lean and zesty.
