Sales of local firms in S. Korea soared 18.7% y/y in Q2 on strong exports

2분기 국내기업 매출 작년동기대비 18.7% 상승 역대 최고

Sales of many local firms recorded the biggest on-year jump in Q2.
According to the Bank of Korea, sales of some 20 thousand companies rose 18-point-7 percent... on the back of robust exports.
Strong performances of non-electric sectors as well as semiconductors are key contributors.
The improvement was notable across all sectors.
Manufacturing went up more than 24 percent and non-manufacturing industries 12-point-4 percent.
By size, both conglomerates as well as SMEs enjoyed spike in sales.
Large firms saw a bigger jump of around 20 percent.
