I Made a Whimsical Witch Dress from an IKEA Duvet Cover || Frankenpatterning a Cottagecore Costume

A Post-Mortem on how I used multiple patterns and sources of inspiration to sew my #WhimsicalWitch Goth Butterfly Gunne Sax (sorta) dress with some fitting help from friends @Sewstine (YT and IG) and @gracies.fancy (IG).

Frankenpatterning is when you take parts from multiple patterns to make a garment, and is an extremely useful technique when no existing patterns QUITE fit what you want to do. Plus, the name implies it is very appropriate for Spooky Season!
Spooky season sewing, princess line bodice, altering the pattern for fit, altering patterns to go together, invisible zipper, witch hat, American Duchess Balmoral boots.
McCall's patterns 7086 and 8239, View A in both.
Fabric: Bergkarel queen size duvet cover from IKEA
#WhimsicalWitches #Costube collaboration led by @aperfecttouch (Jeanette)
Outtakes at the end, lolololol
