Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She Wants Nothing To Do With Politics

In yet another bizarre appearance on the now-indicted Steve Bannon's podcast, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made the hypocritical claim that she wants nothing to do with politics. Obviously this is an insane statement from someone that is currently serving as an elected official who has made everything political, but that's what we've come to expect from Greene. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

On Friday, Marjorie Taylor green appeared on Steve Bannon's podcast. Uh, you know, the Steve Bannon who has now been indicted where Marjorie Taylor, green attacked both Republicans and Democrats, and then got so fed up with all of it that she says she doesn't even want to be in politics that she never wanted to be in politics. Let me read her statement before going any further. Here's what she said, the stupid Republicans that just won't push the line and won't cross the line and won't go far enough because they're scared because somebody might stand up and challenge them. Or someone's going to write a bad news story or simply whatever it may be. It's not the Democrats that are screwing you. It's our own party. And that is what happened. Just like you said, Steve, after the tea party wave back in 2009, 2010, we took over things that were supposed to be better. The Republican party turned around and failed us. I don't want to have anything to do with politics.

Okay. I think I speak for most of the country. When I say we don't want you to have anything to do with politics either. We would love to see you go. We would love to literally never see you again, like go back to Georgia, go run your little CrossFit gym, you know, run your family business and just do that for the rest of your life. Happy, healthy out of politics. We're not going to miss you. You, by your own words, you're not going to miss any of us. So what are you waiting for? Marjorie quit. You could resign today though. Hold a special election. Another Republican will get that seat. It's a deep red district. You don't have to worry about the future of the party. You can just do whatever the heck you want to do, but you won't because you love it. You love every second of this.

You love when the media goes out there and talks about you, even when they're attacking you. That is the only way that you can feel validated as an individual is to have other people talking about you. I firmly believe. And again, this is my opinion as not a mental health expert, but I believe there is some deep psychological issues there. You know, not even counting all of the psychotic rants you've gone on and the attacks you've leveled against your colleagues. That's a whole different thing, but just your need to be out there, right? Your desire to be seen your desire to be talked about, I think a good psychologist or psychiatrist could probably get down to the root of at least those problems and maybe help you work them out. She'll maybe if you do resign your seat, maybe take a couple of sessions a week, go sit with a trained counselor and you know,

See if you can see if you can get something moving there. Of course, that doesn't even begin to dig into the deep hole bag of demons that you've got kicking around in your noggin. But you know, it's a good place to start, but you don't get to sit there and say, I don't even want to be in politics. I don't want to be involved in politics. I don't want to get political while you're holding office. That's like me sitting here saying, I don't even want to be in front of a camera. I am because people like you Marjorie make it a necessity. I have to go out there every day and talk about the stupid things you say and refute them. Because unfortunately you do have a large following and you love it. You wouldn't know what to do with yourself. If you weren't involved in politics, this is what you want.
